Tips to combat obesityPepper not only provides a spicy taste to food, but also has a beneficial side effect to health in regard to weight loss to combat obesity, because its spicy flavor is able to burn calories and fat foods.

The natural chemicals that give the flavor is spicy pepper related to capsaicin or dihydrocapsiate (DCT), generating a feeling of warmth in the body by inducing a reduction in calories or fat burning.

The “DCT” cause inducing an increased metabolism to burn calories, says a researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, this increase translates into about 100 calories per day in women and 200 calories for men.

In a series of investigations carried out on 51 men and women who were given capsules of DCT to a placebo group and the other, it was determined that the group that consumed the DCT 9mg capsules increased their metabolic producing more heat and thus burn more body fat, compared with the placebo group.

But after getting these positive results on weight loss, researchers do not want to go in a hurry on pepper as new diet pills if we consider that further studies to determine its full scope of general health.
